A few scratches will cost you 500 pounds. 1car1 will promise you that you will be refunded any excess after the cost of repairs are deducted - this will not happen.
They will pass you between the "right" departments, delay and make excuses, hope you give up and then tell you the damage comes to 500 pounds plus a bit more for credibilty's sake.
Once your claim for a refund is denied you will fobbed off with ridiculous invitations to send your own engineers to discuss the problem. I didn't have any engineers working for me. I doubt that ordinary renters would have.
The primary concern was in getting a just settlement but the suspicion remains that a secondary industry is in operation. Maximise the possible costs of repairs to a bit over 500 pounds and hope they give up.
