TURIA PARK
After eating fine food and in my case the most delicious fresh orange juice, it's time for a walk - a very long walk if you do the many kilometres of theTuria Park. It used to be a river but after a major inundation catastrophe, in 1957, city fathers turned it into a park. It's about as wide as a soccer (football!!) field and is an open air place used by thousands of visitors and locals for recreation, leisure and sport. As you walk down you go under some rather impressive bridges: I particularly remember the Puente de Serranos with its 15th century towers which were part of the old town-walls, it now stands proud amid more modern buildings around.

I GO THIS TV AS A BIRTHDAY PRESENT AND LET ME SAY ITS THE BEST TV HAVE EVER HAD.IT HAS SO MANY OTHER FEATURES AND IS VERY EASY TO USE.I WAS GIVEN A 4 YEAR GUARNTEE AND BECAUSE OF THAT I HAD MORE CONFIDENCE IN IT AND IT HASNT DISSAPOINTED ME AT ALL.THE PICTURE QUALITY IS NOT VERY DIFFERENT WHETHER YOU HAVE GOT THE SKY HD BOX OR NOT ,I THINK ITS BECAUSE THE TV PICTURE QUALITY IT SELF IS VERY GOOD.IAM A MUM WITH A 6 MONTHS OLD BABY SO IAM AT HOME ALOT,AND THIS MANS A GOT TO WATCH A LOT MORE TV THAT OTHERS,WELL THE SAMSUNG LE40B530 DOESNT DISSAPPOINT.ALSO PERFECT FO PLAYING VIDEO GAMES ,MY 7 YEAR OLD SON CAN USE IT!IN MY OPINION,ONE OF THE BEST TVS ON THE MARKET! ...

Advantages: Beautiful architecture, many shops and restaurants, history abounds but modern too Disadvantages: can't really think of any-drivers beware!
My wife an I visited Valencia in October 2005 for our silver wedding anniversary. the main reason for choosing was because she collects Lladro ceramic figurines and the factory is here and offers free tours and shop. (More later)
We flew from Doncaster direct with Thompson Fly. No problems only drawback was that they only carry about half a dozen breakfast baps so if your not in the front couple of rows you've no chance. Otherwise good and cheap.
Valencia airport clean, and cleared in a short time. Hired the car before travelling and was ready for collection,clean and relatively new, I used holiday autos.
Dirving was a little hairy. You know what the Spanish are like and Valencia is no exception. We saw several near misses and one poor guy on a moped knocked clean off, but be brave and shrug you shoulders a lot!
