Advantages: Location, price Disadvantages: Rather Icky
...The Green Court Hotel is situated on Hogarth Road, between the Earls Court and Cromwell Road. This location occasionally causes the Green Court to get over excited and claim it is based in Kensington. The Hotel is run by a man who looks suspiciously like the shopkeeper out of Mr Ben. It is a fascinating place to stay. Luggage arrives and leaves throughout the day, rarely accompanied by guests. At lunchtime most weekdays a man walks down the street from the chippy at Earls Court Road to eat his lunch on the Hotel steps before wandering off. This is reflected in the quite reasonable price. Rooms are basic but adequate. It is in easy walking distance of Earls Court and Olympia, along with The Natural History and Science Museum. This hotel is fine if you are with someone and are paying your own way. If your company books you...

Advantages: London on your doorstep Disadvantages: not a bargain
...I stay in this hotel 4 times a year and can highly recommend it. Although it is a holiday inn, it is relatively small and in a lovely old building. It has a very appealing garden terrace which backs on to the grounds of a nearby convent and it is very pleasant and peaceful to sit outside. The hotel is just opposite gloucester road tube station and very near earls court and olympia. Great for shopping, great...

Advantages: Speed, Frequency Disadvantages: Comfort, Overcrowding at Peak Times, Cost
...(Piccadilly Circus), Waterloo Station (Waterloo) and the Imperial War Museum (Lambeth North).
These trains seem to be very frequent, clean and not at all overcrowded.
CENTRAL: Cross London Travel for Oxford Street Shops (Marble Arch, Bond Street, Oxford Circus), British Museum (Tottenham Court Road) and St. Paul's Cathedral (St. Pauls).
Also frequent but can become extremely overcrowded on the weekends.
CIRCLE: Paddington Station (Paddington), Madame Tussards (Baker Street), Tower of London & Tower Bridge (Tower Hill), Big Ben & Houses of Parliament (Westminister), Natural History & Science Museums (South Kensington).
This line (as its name suggets) goes round in a circle within Central London. It seems a good idea on paper but in practice they are very slow and infrequent. Also all of their trains seemed to have been attacked by a graffiti...
