...to 10pm enabling you to see New York by night as well as day, I would imagine this to be even more stunning by night, as New York is a city that seems to be lit up constantly never seeming to sleep. ** CENTRAL PARK ** It’s funny to think that in a sprawling Metropolis that resembles Batman’s Gotham City there could be a small patch of greenery such as this, I say small it actually stretches for a full 50 blocks North. You’ll find Central Park situated between 5th Avenue and 8th Avenue on 59th Street. The State purchased the waste land in 1853 and a competition was then launched for the design, it was won by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, between them they converted nearly 850 Acres of wasteland into the Oasis that we now know as Central Park. ..., and directly to its right is the great St. Patrick Cathedral. Beyond lie 57th street one of New York’s greatest shopping districts, and the Plaza Hotel, which faces the vast Central Park. To the left flows the Hudson River, which flows underneath the majestic George Washington Bridge, which joins New York and New Jersey. On a clear day you can see the states of Connecticut and Massachusetts. East – Directly east lies the borough of Queens. At the waters edge to the northeast stands the United Nations Headquarters. Obviously visible is the CitiCorp building, which dominates the Queens Skyline; across the river onto Long Island are the Triboro, Whitestone and Throngs Neck Bridges, providing access to LaGuardia and JFK International Airports and 100 miles of Long Island Beachfronts. Advantages: It's the most awesome bridge in the city!
Disadvantages: Needs more benches!

...is for crossing but it's also for speaking our minds, and celebrating our heros. **** Last note, but not leastly important: Our bridge is famous for one other thing. Ari Halberstam --- this student who was murdered on the ramp of the bridge (someone shot through his van and he was killed). You will see about four or five memorial signs that just say ARI HALBERSTAM as you approach the ramp of the bridge. You see, it was on this ramp that Ari was shot on. And, we , citizens of the world will never forget that tragedy. So when you think Brooklyn Bridge, besides thinking of everything else, remember Ari Halberstam .
