8 Cheviot Hotel, London

...From visting this hotel in late February 2006. We came to the conclusion that it was one of the best hotel In London ! I have visited several hotels and they didnt have any facilities like this hotel does. The hotel offers great facilities such as an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre. The hotel also has its own garden providing a relaxing atmosphere. Not may hotels have its own garden especially in the heart of London !! The rooms are spread out over about 8 floors. Rooms are very clean, modern and extremely comfortable. All rooms have a TV, CD player, DVD player, In room movies (Pay), In room video games (Pay), mini bar, coffee and tea making. Staff in the hotel are friendly and always happy to help. Food is good and a wide variety. The hotel has a garden bar, Longue and a garden restuarant with amazing views of the landscaped... Disadvantages: Five star prices

...The Churchill now managed by the Hyatt is one of the best London hotels. Hotel facilities: famous Cigar bar, recently opened (2005) Montagu Restaurant, one of the best italian restaurants in the city Locanda Locatelli, wi-fi internet, health club, hairdresser, tennis court on Portman Square, attentive security and so on. Rooms are big, clean and really 5 star standard. For a small supplement you can enjoy club lounge facilities with unlimited soft and alcohol drinks, fruit, snacks and newspapers. Everything in this place is well organized. The best option if money is not an issue it to go for a Portman Square view room, on the 8 floor. The best rate you can get is to be found on the hyatt's website. (it depends of the time of the year but all in all it is gonna be above 120 pounds)... Read review

Advantages: Situated in the heart of Mayfair
Disadvantages: Expensive

...This is a wonderful hotel situated in the heart of Mayfair. It is a five-star hotel that backs onto Park Lane. The bedrooms are very comfortable and large in size. When I stayed there for the new year the service was friendly and the food was excellent. Although it is expensive to stay here it is thoroughly worth the money. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to stay in the West-end of London not far from Bond Street and Oxford Street. It is a good hotel to stay in for short shopping trips or for anyone going to London to see a show.... Read review
