Quick Summary:
This is the next step in mother boards from Asus. For those who don’t know, Asus is a Taiwan based company that is well trusted in terms of motherboards. It is the cheapest good quality motherboard out there. My previous Asus motherboard lasted me around 2 years and is still running fine. It is impossible to predict how durable this product is as it is just release, so the history of the company is very important. This new board supports the newest Pentium 4 processors with Hyper-Threading Technology that provides an extra boost to the processing power. The main feature of this processor is that:
It has a Dual-channel DDR technology support that allows you to boost RAM performance It has a ‘Balanced architecture’; this basically means the long waits when your system hangs and does nothing is eliminated. Very easy to over-clock (use extreme caution when doing this)
You must be sure you get the correct parts to benefit from the technology improvements (eg. If you don’t buy dual channel RAM, you can’t benefit from this feature). If you are not familiar with building computers, buy a pre-built machine.
Pentium VS Athlon
With the new line of P4s the performance is greatly improved and can match Athlon’s power. Pentium processors are generally more stable and the company Intel as a longer history. Use this Processor and motherboard when building PCs for someone else or if you prefer a stable system.

-Has both IDE and SATA. Great for people who want multiple hard disks. THe P4C800-E deluxe also supports RAID arrays which allows backups to run in the background of your primary SATA hard disk onto another.

-8x AGP allows you games to run smothely at high res with the right graphics cards.
Disadvantages:
-A little Pricey
-The Asus overclocking software is a little tempomental even when not over or under clocking.

...I decided to build my own PC, and after researching around on the internet, I decided this was a good choice for a motherboard, it supported all the other compononants that I had planned to purchase,a nd for the price had a wealth of features!
The features that most attracted me to this motherboard over the others was the SATA hard drive connections, the very fast FSB and the other on-board features, such as 5.1 sound, and loads of USB 2.0 and firewire ports!
When I opened the box I was pleasently surpised to see everything packaged neatly, so nothing would be damaged.
The installation was trouble free, I followed the quick start instructions, attatched the CPU, fan, and RAM to the motherboard, then placed the motherboard into the case, it fitted perfectly, and was a very snug fit, so once skrewed down I was comfortable that it wasnt...

The motherboard also protects your components (and itself) by ridding itself of your settings should things go a bit pear-shaped. Obviously, higher voltage will still cause problems with your components if they're over-stressed, but these too are reset if you have a failed overclock.
As you can probably guess, this mobo is all about pushin your computer to the limit. I've got a 3 Ghz P4 processor and i'm pushing it to 3.6 Ghz fully stable on air. Not bad, really, i think. Incidentally, i'm using the Zalman Flower cooler and Arctic Silver themal grease.
The mobo itself is easy for someone who can follow instructions to assemble into your computer and is really a dream to use and overclock with. If you got the cash, get it, cos it's still an amazing p4 mobo...
