Full review
Last Year i brought a brand new Voodoo 4 4500 32mb PCI graphics card. I decided to get a new one as the voodoo 4 4500 one had passed its shelf and base unit life.

I went into my local wholesaler who i usually get my computer part off and he recommended to me using the ATI Radeon 7000 64Mb Graphics Card. At first i was tempted to say no untill he told me what features it had. I said that it must have more than the basic Voodoo 4 4500 32mb card, and believe me when saying basic, i mean everything. Its easy to plug into your PCI port on your motherboard, The software and drivers are easy to install, not that you have to anyway. It has a the basic design as many other PCI Graphics cards but i mean the colour of this one shows that it is built for the future. By the way the colour is Red. Now how many graphics cards do you know that are red? I can answer that question right now, Not many.

Moving onto a more detailed description of the ATI Radeon 7000 64Mb Graphics Card...

***The Specifications***

1) It has a revolutionary VPU thingy which i dont know what it mean but it must be good.
2) It support DirectX7.0 and above to boost the visual effects of the monitor.
3) It also has DDR memory interface support fot the new standard AGP 4x VGA graphics cards.

***Features***

1) HYPER-Z technology
2) Video Immersion technology
3) 3D Screen Resolutions are obainable upto 32-bit colour (2048 x 1536)
4) S-Video or Composite output port which gives you the option of conversion between the two.
5) Provides DVI (Digital Visual Interface) output port which is also optional.

Believe it or not ATI's graphics accelerators are the most advanced on the market today. They are built to to improve the performance of the system and display exceptional graphics.

Along with the card you will find a Tv-Out Adapter to plug from the back of the computer into the back of the television.
This is brilliant if you only have a small monitor and there are about 7 or 8 of your closest friends and family trying to watch a DVD movie.

How easy is it to set up the software?

Its is really easy to setup the software, in the installation manual that comes with the Graphics card you will find that they have layed out a plan for installation. Unfortunatly they are not diagramed for some unknown reason. So for those of you with little or no knowledge of installing a new piece of hardware it may be a little hard. But it is achievable to get it to work.

***The minimum system specifications to run this card***

At the moment you must have at least the following installed on your computer...

1) 32Mb Random Access Memory
2) 3.68Mb of Hard Disk Space (For the drivers and Software)
3) PII 266 or Above (System Processor)
4) Windows 98 - XP (Please note that this will not work with Windows 2000 Professional as i have tried to put it in 2 systems and it has not worked so please be warned)

Language Support

At the moment the language support is very limited.

German, English, French, Spanish and Japanese.

The price of these at wholesalers is usually around 7.99GBP per Pack.
If you were to buy them from a high street retailer such as PC WORLD, TIME or TINY it might just set you back 20.00-40.00GBP. (Sorry for not having the pound sign my keyboard is currently configured to the United States format and i cant seem to change it.

Thank you for reading my Opinion.

Review of ATI RADEON 7000 by ReviewDude

Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Slow

f you've read my Geforce 5200 review you will know before I upgraded I had a Radeon 7000. I was looking for a new graphics card back in 1999 so went into my local computer shop and asked what cards they had. They had around three graphics card. The Radeon was £40 and the next card up was £120 and the 3rd £180. Having very little money I purchased the Radeon 7000. I walked out of the shop and looked at the back of the boxed. It said ti supported ...
...on Direct x 9 so I quickly ran back into the shop and asked him if it would support 9. He said yes it would so I decided to take it home and try it out. The Radeon 7000 has 32mb ram. This was about what I needed at the time. I removed my computer case and removed the old card and replaced it with the Radeon. On start-up I was asked to install the drivers for which I had a CD-Rom. It was very easy to install and only needed a quick restart. I was ... Read review

ATI - What an image!!
Review of ATI RADEON 9000 Pro by  D_bo

Advantages: Easy to install, Good price, Great image quality
Disadvantages: Much cheaper in USA

...warned! I had decided to upgrade my old graphics card from an ATI Radeon 7000 to the ATI Radeon 9000 Pro with 128 MB DDR SDRAM. I wasn't having many problems with my old graphics card but I wanted to expand the 3D capabilities of my gaming and edit graphics/photos. Seeing as I have a reasonably fast computer (3.2 Gig Hz Pentium 4) with 1 Gig of RAM, I realized that the card, with only 32 MB of DDR SDRAM was the only thing I would need to optimise. I'm not going to bore you too much like most reviews on graphics cards which tend to focus on frames per second, refresh rates etc. The type of mumbo jumbo info, while really important to die hard gamers, is useless to the majority of us. I am going to try and focus on image quality which is more important to you graphics designers and photographers out there. Installation was real easy I... Read review

Sapphire's Radeon 7000...What a gem!
Review of Sapphire RADEON 7000 by  Credance100

Advantages: Fantastic budget card.
Disadvantages: Limited overclocking facilities. Fails to run the latest titles.

...Last December, I was assigned the task of building a low -cost PC for a relative. With only a maximum of 35 pounds to spend on a video card my choice was limited. I finally opted for Sapphire's version of the Ati Radeon 7000 model. It cost about 28 pounds at the time, and is possibly the finest budget card I've come across. One of its main advantages is its stability, I used a tool called Riva Tuner to overclock it somewhat, the heatsink handled it fine! Sadly though, the overclocking didn't produce any marked improvement, the only benefit being a slight increase of frame rate on Counter-Strike and Medal of Honour: Allied Assualt. This aside, the card is fantastic for the price. It runs popular games such as Counterstrike (Non-source of course) aswell as any game predating the year 2002. However, it doesn't run more recent...
