Its INDIE-DANCE, which means Indy (smile), Big Beat, a taste of good hip-hop, Mister Bob Marley, Punk and all the other music for jumping, poking and ... ...the pubs.

There are different types of parties around the week. I preferred to go there THURSDAYs, because there is no entry fee, you can get in for free. Its INDIE-DANCE, which means Indy (smile), Big Beat, a taste of good hip-hop, Mister Bob Marley, Punk and all the other music for jumping, poking and getting crazy on the dance floor. Music wishes (not DJ Otzi!) are often accepted by the DJ.
The party crowd is very colourfully, not only by their dressing and hair, but also by their nationality. Most of them are punks or political-left-orientated people aged 16 to 25. The smell of marijuana is always in the air, but no one does really care about this.
The dance floor is upstairs, as the toilets (officially divided to gents and ladies, but no one pays attention to this) are as well.
On the ground floor you find the bar with very low prices (Beer for 1 DM or 1,50 DM, which is 0,50 Euro upwards the litre) and a good atmosphere. There are many possibilities to sit down with your friends or just to have a talk to strangers (that might become friends).
On other days than Thursday there are different parties. Many private parties. One can book the whole location for a cheap amount (the last time we did a party there it was 150 DM (80 Euro) for the dance floor and the music equipment). These parties mostly cost around 5 DM (2.50 Euro).
As you might see on these prices, this is not a new-build modern party location. The building itself is very old and many would tend to call it dirty. Well, I used to have parties - very good parties - in more dirty industrial ruins, so I don’t care. But if you're not familiar with alternative parties, you should not go to the AZ.
Party dates you find in the citymags like SAX or Dresdner or on flyers in the pubs.
