Manufacturer's product description
Continuing a deep-rooted tradition in the Fierro family, this locale is a legend of Neapolitan light music, and people come here as much for the spread of musical entertainment as for the food. Enjoy a traditional dinner accompanied by a show of Neapolitan crooners -- a performance only an entrenched curmudgeon would fail to enjoy. Saturday evenings offer a banquet and live entertainment for a combined price of EUR55 (reservations are essential). Standards of both cucina and servizio are high, as indeed they have to be for loyal but demanding clients, mainly drawn from Napoli bene (the upper crust of Naples).
Advantages: Mostly helpful, friendly.(many see op.) Disadvantages: Can be expensive. Traffic, crime, pollution.
...,each year to visit. And it's a place I both love and detest, for Naples is like that in everything you can see,do or experience there...
Giuseppe's family are extensive,(in laws etc) and it is a place I both love, and miss, but couldn't live there again for various reasons.
NAPLES.
The very name brings a magic, deep within my heart.
A misty tear of reminiscence to my eyes,a mixture of joy,and hell, pleasure and pain...there is no getting over it,and if you are looking for cold hard facts, url addresses and links you're going to be bitterly disapointed- but I promise you,-you will be entertained.
This city,as a resident,is not for the faint hearted,- but as a visitor on holiday,it is as close to paradise as you could get- sea, sand, sun, cheap food, adventures, countryside on the outskirts, orange and lemon groves, best Pizza's the most wonderful...

Advantages: Great City, lots to do Disadvantages: can be a bit dirty, very hot in summer
...not for you. It is very steep, I am fairly fit, and it took me 20 minutes at a fair old pace to get to the top, and I was sweating when I got there. It was worth the climb though, to seem the steam coming out of the volcano, smell the slight sulphur smell, and to look at the view was incredible. The Italians never ones to miss an opportunity have constructed two shops at the top, where you can buy polished lava, drinks, food, pictures, the usual tourist bric-a-brac and for some reason figures from Ancient Egypt! The bus leaves you about an hour and 15 minutes to go to the top and come back down, I guess they wouldn't leave you there if you were late!
Capri
As I had time to spare, I thought a day trip to Capri would be good, and I wasn't disappointed. I got the fast jet ferry from the Harbour in Naples to Capri, it coat 15 Euro...

...At the beginning of April 2004 I spent 24 hours in Naples (on my way to Sardinia), I´d like to take you with me and show you what I saw. I stayed in a hotel in the historical centre, Hotel Sansevero in Piazza San Domenico Maggiore 9; 70 Euro for a single room (clean, quiet, nice modern furniture, small breakfast).
The description on the net said, ´easily reachable by underground (Metropolitana) Montesanto station or by bus direction Corso Umberto´. Ha!, says I, nonsense, nothing is easily reachable in Naples that isn´t situated directly beside an underground station. There are only two lines in the whole city and they do not cross the historical centre. If you don´t know which bus number to take (the info on the net didn´t include it) and can´t speak the language well so that you can ask, this means of transportation is not advisable...

The A720is replaces the less than two years old A710is at the same if not lower price: around 220-250 euro in Italy, 150-170 pounds in the UK.
You can see my review for the A710is here on Ciao.uk: that review 80% applies also for the... more
