This legendary Tony Awardee's musical is a story based upon the lives and experiences of a group of Broadway dancers auditioning for the chorus of a new show. ...Just Wanna Dance’ and her Red Necked husband, and a chorusLine of Klu Klux Klansmen.
At the end of Act 1 Jerry Springer gets shot when things get out of hand.
ACT 2:
Jerry has been shot and descends to Hell and presides over a show down between Christ and Satan. God also makes an appearance singing a humorous song entitled “It aint easy being me”. All the guests in act 1 take on the different role in act 2, which adds to the humour. The second act is not as well developed as the first although still very amusing and entertaining. The best performance in the second act is by David Bedella, jerry’s warm up man in act 1, who now appears as Satan and gives a superb performance.
Cast List principals in order of appearance:
Steve: Guy Porritt
Warm- Up Man: David Bedella
Jerry: Michael Brandon
Dwight: Benjamin Lake
Peaches: Jo Naphine

...to detail in costumes and props, this is obviously vital when the audience is situated so close to the Stage.
THE PRODUCTIONS
The Crucible has many in house productions which are always of a very high standard and at Christmas Time the Pantomimes attract visitors from miles around.
Recent productions at the Crucible have included A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Michael Grandage, Arthur Miller's play appropriately called The Crucible, directed by Anna Mackmin and a critically acclaimed production of A ChorusLine.
PRICES
The ticket prices are the same for all of the seats within the Theatre but these obviously vary depending on what is being shown. The highest prices that I have seen have been £25 but some shows are as cheap as £7 or £8. There are also good discounts available for children and students which are generally half price...

Advantages: Fun, Fun, Fun, Fun and oh, did I say this was fun? Disadvantages: If you don't like 30s musicals, you won't like this.
...Lord Evelyn Oakleigh, a wealthy Englishman – Simon Day
Mooface Martin, a gangster, Martin Marquez
Erma, a moll – Annette McLaughlin
The Captain of the SS American – Paul Grunert
The Purser – David Delve
In addition, there are four girls who play “Reno’s Angels”, a Nautical Quartet (males) and a whole chorusline of sailors, passengers, journalists and photographers played by members of the company.
From my vantage point (in the eighth row of the main hall, thanks to the half-price ticket booth) it did seem to me that while, for the most part, the cast works wonderfully together, Mr. Barrowman does seem a tad full of himself, and this did cut into the romantic chemistry that we should have felt between Billy and Hope. Apparently, Ms. Stockley doesn’t care as much for Mr. Barrowman in real life, as the fictional Hope does for the fictional...
