Manufacturer's product description
This restaurant is picturesquely perched over a beach in Posillipo near the end of a long winding side road, and has long capitalized on its location. The landmark comes with its own legend: the story goes that in the 19th century any Juliet would promise herself simply by appearing at the window ("fenestella" in the local dialect) to the Romeo sailing in the boat below, thus inspiring the famous Neapolitan folk song. Today, the restaurant is blatantly traditional, with a comfortable decor and the usual suspects on the menu. (For more stylish food and people, and better value for money, head across the road to Da Cicciotto).
Advantages: It makes Hell look like Beverly Hills Disadvantages: EVERYTHING
...permeate your lungs. Just in case anyone wishes to paint me as a tourist knee-jerk pessimist, I happen to have spent well over two years in Naples and my experiences with the area and its inhabitants are of far greater depth than someone passing through on a tourbus. The best thing that can be done with Naples is to avoid it at all costs!...

...Napoli airport is very bad.
1) There aren't very many check in desks, and we had to que for over an hour.
2) When we did check in, the stupid check in person and the people didnt know any other forigien languages. The people I was flying with knew English, French, Spanish, and German BUT NOT Italian!! AND it was a British Airways check in desk!
3) Then there was hardly and seating, no drinks machines, or shops where you can buy a drink. There are no restaurents. The duty free shop was crowded, and we had to que for another half an hour to pay.
4) There are no "stands" at Napoli, and so we had to go on a bus. There was no where near enough room for the amount of passengers on the bus.
5) Then to make things worse, we got on a plane, then a stewardess told all the passengers that they were on the wrong plane, so everybody had to get off...

Advantages: excellent holiday Disadvantages: dont go for just a week as there is just too much to pack into a week
...My husband and I booked a cheapy package to Sorrento about 40 kilometeres from Naples. It was prehaps the best value holiday that we have taken. The welcome that we recieved was wonderful from the hotel staff throw to people we met whilest out and about. the food was excellent and great value. The transport system around Naples and the amalfi coast is cheap and reliable. We found that we could get about using the public transport system very easily. Pompeii is a must - you must allow at least a day to be able to see it all. Also the ruins at Hersauleum in a suburb of Naples are also a must see site they are smaller then pompeii but are better preserved. The Amalfi drive is spectacular even if I did do it on a bus and not an open top car. The scenery is just amazing - not recommended if you are frightened of hights as the drop...
