Advantages: Tons to do and see! Disadvantages: None really!
...swimming pool that is mainly used only by local Hamburgers so a great way to feel as though you belong in Hamburg. It takes about 40 minutes form the city centre using the green S1 line direction Wedel.
4) The open top tour buses are a great way to see Hamburg and get a real feel for the place and depart frequently outside the Rathaus. You take in all the famous local sights such as the Rathaus, St. Pauli, Altona train, Reeperbahn (red light district...) etc. The 1 hour trip costs approx. 13 Euros.
Most hotels have a great range of leaflets about things to do in Hamburg and hotel staff are always helpful: the opera is very popular here as are musicals (currently showing is the Lion King and Mamma Mia!!)

Advantages: Lovely hotel, excellent rooms and service Disadvantages: None really!
...~~~HAMBURG MARRIOTT HOTEL~~~
As well as having stayed at the Renaissance Hotel in Hamburg several times, I have also stayed at the Renaissance sister hotel, the Marriott, located on ABC Strasse in the exclusive shopping and dining part of the city of Hamburg. The hotel is well located and transfer time from the airport (Hamburg) is under 20 minutes or so with taxi fares also being under 20Euros (£13-£15). Just outside o f the hotel you will find a glittering array of upmarket shops and small boutiques and the hotel is located in a very quiet area and all of the rooms are exceptionally quiet.
Arriving at the hotel:
As you enter the hotel, the lobby is sumptuous and well-kept, and there are always plenty of bellhops to help with your bags. Check-in is always smooth and painless, and there is a good selection of local interest...

Advantages: very exciting Disadvantages: drug dealers
...(I'german and I apologize for my bad english)
Since three years I'm living in Hamburg near the train station.
The opinions about this district are very divided. People love it and would pay a lot of money to live here or they hate it and avoid vevery step to this area.
The district around the train station is called St. Georg. It's beatiful and also ugly and not so easy to describe.
On the ugly side are all the drug users and drug dealers. It is one of the places with the most drug problems in Germany.
On the other side this district is in the centre of the most beautiful city in Germany. It is near the Alster, a paradise for jogger. Here are alternitiv shopping areas and with the Atlantic Hotlel here is the most expensive hotel in Europe.
The district is very international. Here are living people witch are coming from all over...
