Advantages: wheelchair friendly, very fun, friendly Disadvantages: none
...Recently my husband and I visited Amsterdam. We were a bit worried about wheelchair accessibility as we couldn't find much online about it. However we were very happily surprised at what we found. Our first worry was about the trains from the airport to town. They were very friendly and also very accessible. Once we got to Amsterdam it was easy to get around. Even the trams are accessible. The hotel we stayed in (Hotel Rho right in Dam Square) was very good too. We had a wonderful time for the five days that we were there. I would highly recommend Amsterdam as a destination for both abled and disabled travellers. Bon Voyage!...

Advantages: Superb Central Location Disadvantages: Strict on Room Checkout Times
...For those seeking clean, centrally located accommodation in Amsterdam look no further than The Delta Hotel. Situated only a few minutes walk from the central train station it is easy to find, as the Damrak is the main road directly in front of you as you exit Central Station. In addition it is close to Madame Tussauds, the red light district, local nightlife, the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Dam Square, and many shops.
All rooms are equipped with private bath/shower and toilet, telephone, safety-box, colour television and movie facilities. The hotel is ideal for larger parties, as well as singles, as the hotel has a full range of private rooms sleeping up to 8 people.
The hotel serves food in clean comfortable surroundings although the restaurant can get very busy at times. However, with a window fronting onto the main street...

Advantages: Great location, cheap, clean Disadvantages: Budget hotel
...I stayed at the Ibis Stopera in Amsterdam in April 2006 with two friends and would definitely recommend it for anyone who it looking for a budget hotel that can be relied on.
For anyone who hasn't stayed in an Ibis hotel before I would describe them as a superior travelodge. In other words, no matter which one you go to, you generally know what you're getting. Always clean and a good service. There was also a bar.
For three girls on a budget the Ibis Stopera was perfect as they have triple rooms available, this made it a very reasonable rate when split between the three of us - and this included breakfast (which was very nice). We had a lovely ground floor room which looked out onto the canal at the back of the hotel.
Location#
The Ibis Stopera is in a great location, a 15 min stroll from the train station and just around the corner...
