Advantages: Very beautiful and atmospheric, helpful staff Disadvantages: Museum not ideal for children
BathAbbey is in the centre of Bath, about 10 minutes walk from the train station.
From the outside it is stunning and very impressive.
There is no entry fee, visitors are just asked to make a donation to contribute to upkeep - £2.50 per person is suggested.
A brief free guide leaflet is provided, which gives some detail about the history of the Abbey and explanation of some of the beautiful stained glass windows.
There are many volunteers and staff working in the Abbey who are happy to answer questions etc.
There is also a museum, which is interesting, but probably would not be suitable for children.
There is a shop within the Abbey selling the usual gifts and memorabilia etc.
Services are advertised if you wish to attend.
You could probably spend an hour or two here if you visited the museum, or if you ...

Advantages: Amazing views, Great history, lots to see and do. Disadvantages: parking!! too many tourists in the summer.
attracting visitors for over 2,000 years because of its historical features. The history of The Roman Baths, bathAbbey and the surrounding areas of the Royal Crescent have been popular sites for hundreds of years. These are amongst the finest buildings in Europe to be built. Bath is near many other interesting towns such as Weston Super Mare, Wells and Frome. It is easy to get to and there are many relaxing places to stay.

The Romans built the baths for cleansing and the hot springs came a healthy ways for the town to be clean. It was also ...

Advantages: None Disadvantages: Robbers, none existing customer care, bad attitude and bad service.
Abbey National is the most difficult bank to deal with. Their customer care is very poor and they are even rated as one of the worst banks.
When we decided to open another bank account we found Abbey to be the most conveniently placed. So my husband and I went to open a bank account with them. They seemed very nice and glad to have us as customers. The bank was very neat and tidy. I never realised that what would come later would put me off this bank for the rest of my life.
The problems started when I found only £30 in my account yet there should have been more money in my account. Abbey had not informed me that we had gone over the overdraft or that indeed they were going to take any money out of my bank. So later that evening I phoned the bank to see if I could sort something out, it took about half an hour to get in ...

The location of this hotel really is great for those who want to be in the heart of the city, and ideal for exploring all that Bath has to offer. Situated in the oldest part of the city, most of the famous attractions are on itsdoorstep, along with some of the best shopping outside of London. Guided tours exploring the rest of Bath leave from outside the hotel every 10 minutes, Bath Spa train and coach station are close by. Built as part of the Grand Designin the 1740s the hotel has a beautifully traditional façade, whilst still having the conveniences you would expect from a modern hotel. All guest rooms have recently been refurbished, and are warm and comfortable with good facilitiesand a small seating area.
