The Nile river cruise is a great way to see all wonders of the upper Nile. Your trip starts in Luxor, taking you up this majestic river to the 2 Dams at Aswan. Along the way you will have the opportunity to visit the temples of Karnak, Philae and a must see is Abu Simbel which is an over desert trip by air or road. The Balloon flight over the Valley of the Kings is definately worth the early morning wake up call. The accomodation on board your boat is first class and equivelent to many 4 star hotels, although the food does leave a little to be desired. The crew are always helpful and attentive, although some of the shows in the evening were very "rustic" and very good. Now for the down side, the majority of people on board did end up with a stomach bug, the persistant street hawkers and beggers can be a bit intimidating apart from that a good trip.
