Excellent hotel in Vienna

Advantages: Large rooms, clean, with firendly staff.
Disadvantages: 10 minute walk to shops and cathedral

The Hilton Vienna Plaza is an excellent hotel located on the Ringstrasse in Central Vienna, I will talk more about the hotels location later on. Before I arrived at the hotel I emailed the manager with a few questions about the local area and the hotel etc. The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and I received an email back with all of my questions answered which was helpful. It took around twenty minutes to get to the hotel from the Airport, although on my way back to the airport at the end of my stay it took about thirty minutes because of heavier traffic. Check-in was fast and very efficient, the hotel staff were friendly and gave me a map of the local area. I booked to stay in a standard king room, the rooms at the hotel are a very nice size. Small, but perfectly formed hotel in Vienna

Advantages: Classy, comfortable, fantastic breakfast
Disadvantages: Not overly expensive, but the rates match how nice it is

, the Altstadt Vienna certainly fitted the bill. It was just right for a romantic stay and was the perfect base for our weekend. Location = The Altstadt Vienna is situated in an old-fashioned Viennese apartment building. As you enter the hallway you have to go up the wide and sweeping stone staircase to get to the reception which is on the first floor. Also on this floor is the 'red salon' and breakfast area (more on this anon), the 42 rooms are spread across the 2nd and 3rd floors. Because it is not a custom built hotel building, it feels like a slice of 'real Vienna'. The hotel is just 5 minutes walk (to the west) of the famous Vienna Ringstrasse where all the grand buildings are and a further 5 minutes to the heart of the city. Pension Stankovic, Dubrovnik

Advantages: magnificent view
Disadvantages: you must climb a lot of steps

of the house. The problem was that not all streets are right in the map of the navigation system. Pension Stankovic Pension Stankovic is an apartment with 2-3 rooms. One part of the apartment is for the owners and another part for the guests. There is a parking place in front of the house which is a big advantage. Our room was not big enough for the tree beds and not very comfortable. There is a TV and internet. The bathroom is OK but there isn't any soap or shampoo. The house is 400 m far of the old city but you must climb a lot of steps. It is not possible for people who are not trained. The view is magnificent There is a terrace with a magnificent view to the old city of Dubrovnik. All the rest regarding the conditions of life doesn't matter!
