Advantages: Good food, high quality service Disadvantages: Adare, although picturesque, is a bit 'touristy'
...Adare is a picture postcard village 6 or 7 miles South of Limerick, picturesque thatched cottages mostly now antique shops and high quality restaurant. The Dunraven Arms is right in the heart of the village. A rambling 2 storey hotel with and 'olde worlde' pub and Egon Ronay approved restaurant at its centre. Facilities are good with a superbly kitted out health centre and some high quality shops within the hotel. The hotel caters for small business conferences and events with a very reasonable day delegate rate. Accommodation is excellent, our room had a 4 poster bed and acres of space (nice old/substantial furniture). The shower was stunning (almost literally) and the bathroom was bigger than some hotel rooms I've stayed in. In the morning a huge Irish breakfast set us up for the day.
The hotel is close to the golf course. I...

Advantages: Lake Klimkowka Disadvantages: beskid niski, klimkowka, poland, hotel, polska
...We would like to invite you to visit an agrotouristic house in Losie in Beskid Niski.
We offer three rooms, each for two-three people.
All rooms are located upstairs the house. There is also kitchen annex and living room with TV.
Nearby the house, about 100 meters, you can find a bar with tasty food and fishery of trout.
2 kilometers from house, there is a beautiful lake -Klimkowka. It is beautiful spot to spend time in summer.
You can swim there, windsurf or sail.
In the country you can find a river which flow out from the mountains. There is a possibility for fishing.
The house is located near the low mountain, among two streams.
It is dreamed place to rest and to work in peace.

Advantages: A sense of open space yet close to Dublin City Centre Disadvantages: Not ultra modern (is that a disadvantage???)
...One minute you are stuck in traffic on the busy M50 and the next you are in a peaceful countryhouse hotel, seemingly miles out in the countryside. I have stayed at the hotel twice, once last summer and again in June 2007. The delight of the Finnstown is its 'old world' charm. A roaring fire in the lobby, antiques and interesting 'knick-knacks' in nooks and crannies wherever you look. A real change from sterile modern hotels. The bar and the restaurant are beautiful and the food superb. The hotel has just changed hands. When I was there recently the bar and restaurant were closed for alteration and rather dreary conference facilities were a substitute. The food quality and friendliness hadn't changed though. This is a hotel with personality. I hope that the new owners don't change that....

Well we had been invited to out nephew’s wedding in Dorset and I also had to take advantage of my Christmas present from Dave, which was feeding tigers by hand at Paradise Park, Broxbourne. We also decided that we could go to Thorpe Park and Chessington... more
