Advantages: Good food, high quality service Disadvantages: Adare, although picturesque, is a bit 'touristy'
...Adare is a picture postcard village 6 or 7 miles South of Limerick, picturesque thatched cottages mostly now antique shops and high quality restaurant. The Dunraven Arms is right in the heart of the village. A rambling 2 storey hotel with and 'olde worlde' pub and Egon Ronay approved restaurant at its centre. Facilities are good with a superbly kitted out health centre and some high quality shops within the hotel. The hotel caters for small business conferences and events with a very reasonable day delegate rate. Accommodation is excellent, our room had a 4 poster bed and acres of space (nice old/substantial furniture). The shower was stunning (almost literally) and the bathroom was bigger than some hotel rooms I've stayed in. In the morning a huge Irish breakfast set us up for the day.
The hotel is close to the golf course. I...

Advantages: Friendly staff, good food, central to many locations Disadvantages: No leisure facilities
...Set in the wonderfully picturesque but quaintly small village of Bunratty (which is actually in County Clare, and not Limerick), this Hotel is absolutely wonderful.
From the very first moment I walked into the hotel, I knew I had chosen the right one. This hotel is situated right in the centre of the village, close to so many attractions - such as Bunratty Castle, Bunratty Folk Village, Durty Nelly's pub and a small but really good shopping area which includes a few shops where you can get the woollen jumpers, the local food produce, and other typical Irish Tourist gifts.
The hotel itself is located between Limerick City (8 miles away) and Shannon Airport (7 miles away).
While the hotel is on the small side with just 22 rooms, the quality of the accomodation is second to none. This is reflected in the price, but then again, you get...

Advantages: Free, Lots Of History Disadvantages: Admission Charges For Some Exhibits
...The Elsecar HeritageCentre is situated in the small, former Mining Village of Elsecar about seven and a half miles to the South of Barnsley in South Yorkshire. It is described as a Heritage and Craft Centre and since it opened it has won numerous awards.
I often try and make a point of visiting such attractions as I find that it is an excellent way to learn about the local area and since entry into the Centre is free there really is no excuse to not visit this place whilst in the area.
The Centre is located within an old Colliery Workshop and Ironworks that once belonged to the Earl Fitzwilliam whose residence was the nearby Wentworth Estate and the magnificent Wentworth Woodhouse Country House.
The Elsecar HeritageCentre includes various carefully restored Buildings, many of which are positioned alongside the attractive River...

I found this game pretty addictive the first time I played on it. I found the use of the nunchuck pretty hard to master at first, moving the control stick didn\'t always work properly. I overcame this pretty quickly but found the game to move pretty slow more
