Having stayed at the Adelphi whilst in Liverpool for business purposes, I can only recommend others who may go their not to. The building itself seems grand enough from the exterior, but the interior reeks somewhat of having a 'faded glory'. Whilst all the fixtures and fittings were in order there was not the same range of services afforded in more modern hotels. The main problem I have however, is with the staffing. In every single case, each staff member I met was sullen almost to the point of rudeness. This is not something I expect from a supposed luxury hotel. The breakfast was entirely average, again with unhlepful waiting staff.
