Advantages: Central location. Great decor.Great food. Good service Disadvantages: Difficult to think of any
...On my three visits to Liverpool I have always visited the AdelphiHotel which I reckon is a superb hotel and is not that expensive. If you judge in terms of value for money it is really good value. There are often special or mid week breaks offered by the Britannia group of hotels and they are at rates much below the rack rate.
The public rooms at the Adelphi are sumptuous to say the least. You can imagine all the shipping tycoons and wealthy merchants and their families sipping afternoon tea in the magnificent lounge.
The quality of the service at this fine hotel matches the surroundings. The sunday lunches are moderately priced and well worth sampling. There are a lot of facilities at this city centre hotel and my husband enjoys the bars very much. The Adelphi also has a disco for the younger crowd...

Advantages: Central Disadvantages: Unhelpful staff
...Having stayed at the Adelphi whilst in Liverpool for business purposes, I can only recommend others who may go their not to. The building itself seems grand enough from the exterior, but the interior reeks somewhat of having a 'faded glory'. Whilst all the fixtures and fittings were in order there was not the same range of services afforded in more modern hotels. The main problem I have however, is with the staffing. In every single case, each staff member I met was sullen almost to the point of rudeness. This is not something I expect from a supposed luxury hotel.
The breakfast was entirely average, again with unhlepful waiting staff....

Advantages: Beautiful building.Central Location Disadvantages: Few
...The AdelphiHotel is a Liverpool insitution just like the Liver Birds.
It is a splendid hotel, with splendid facilities, and considering its quality, the prices are quite reasonable, particularly if you take advantage of special offers.I have also found it a great place to eat at. On my last trip I had the special Sunday lunch-a three course meal-which was absoltutely marvellous value for money. The service at this long established hotel is very good -friendly but attentive is how I would describe it.
Its location is nigh on perfect and its very handy for the town centre shops and only a short walk to the Pier Head.If you want a short break or a mid week break in Liverpool and at the same time want to enjoy luxurious accommodation you should seriously consider staying at the AdelphiHotel. It is a first-rate place....
