Advantages: efficient, good service, free drinks Disadvantages: no food served on board.
...A couple of years ago I was invited to attend a European convention in Slovenia. Quite excited I started looking for ways to get there. The year before, on my way back from Lanzarote, I was taken quite ill on the plane and spent a whole 4 hour journey on oxygen, later being met off the plane by an ambulance. I was not keen on flying so tried to find alternative ways of traveling. Coach seemed like a great idea, only *hint of sarcasm* 6 changes and only £300 odd quid. This idea quickly went out of the window as did the idea of train. The only other option I had was to fly… I looked up on many websites and found that the cheapest airline by far was 'Adria Airways'.
Adria, what?… I hear you ask.

Advantages: VALUE FOR MONEY, CLEAN & CONVENIENTLY SITUATED Disadvantages: NO OFF ROAD PARKING

We found it great value for money, paying £65 per night for an en-suite double room which was basic but comfortable, very clean and had tons of storage space, something i've found to be missing from other hotels i've stayed in. There is a choice of continental or full English breakafast (£3 and £5 respectively), we went for the continental and thought it was brilliant value for money as you can eat all you want. The only negative about the Adria is there is no off road parking and the car park across the road is very expensive, but we found that if you park in the streets at the rear of the hotel, Sat and Sun parking is free which saved us a fortune. Would definitely recommend to others....

...LATEST UPDATE (27.06.2001):
On June 26, 2001, both the British and German Foreign Offices have issued travel warnings for Macedonia. The FCO advises British Citizens who live in Macedonia to leave the country. Official information from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office on the situation in Macedonia can be found at the following website:
www.fco.gov.uk/travel/countryadvice.asp?MA
Meanwhile Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Swissair and Adria Airways continue their services to Skopje, in addition to Adria Airways' daily flight from Ljubljana to Ohrid in southwestern Macedonia.
Here is my personal advice on the situation:
Overland travel in Macedonia is currently non-advisable, as most bus routes from Skopje to the south lead through the city of Tetovo, a battleground for fights between the Macedonian army and ethnic Albanian UCK...

This hotel captures true Englishness. Whether it be afternoon tea - complimented with the fantastic selection of cakes and cream teas, or the formality of a 5 course evening meal - this hotel offers it all.
There is a short 18-hole golf course, 2... more
