The Aegeon Hotel in Skala Kalloni on the Greek Island of Lesbos is real hideaway and is lovely. In a rural location 8 minutes walk to the sand and shingle beach and a further 5 minutes to the village square where most of the tavernas are located. The air conditioning rooms were simply furnished but quite spacious. The beds were a tad uncomfortable. The bathroom by Greek standard for this classification was a high standard. The staff treated you more as friends than clients, safe Deposit boxes were available to hire as were bicycles. The breakfast was a cold buffet taken on the terrace and this was very acceptable. A small swimming pool with fee sunbeds and a great well run poolside bar that stayed open in the evenings. it was a nice place to mingle with other guests. If you appreciate a get away from it all holiday in a tranquil location then you will appreciate this hotel. In our opinion ideally suited to couples, families will find it too isolated with very little for the children to do in the evenings. Skala Kalloni is a typical authentic Greek resort. Uncommercialised and quiet.
