I flew with Aeroflot to Tokyo via Moscow - they were about £200 cheaper than the next cheapest airline. I feared the worst to be honest, but in reality they weren't that bad at all. The plane was modern (although the interior was a bit tatty), the food was as good as I've had on any flight (W. European, Russian or Japanese depending on the sector). The flights were puntual, fairly comfortable even in economy (I'm 180cm tall) and although I hate flying I felt safe at all times. The service isn't fantastic, however, and the in-flight entertainment is poor - we watched the same, poorly dubbed film on all four sectors. Overall though, I'm someone who just wants to get from A to B safely and on time: I'd rather save my money to spend when I'm at my destination. If you're the same, Aeroflot will probably suit your needs.
