Agadir - Avoid
Review of Agadir (Morocco) by kimera999

Advantages: It was warmer than England
Disadvantages: I prefer to be cold

...returned for a week in Agadir and I am compelled to share by experience, where shall I start? I booked it last minute and new hotels where being built, I can deal with the noise. I dont moan about accomdation because if its clean and has a shower Im happy. (it was clean and had sort of a shower) Well, in no particular order here are the good points: The operation of the airport is very efficient Now to the bad points, in no particular order: The ...
...give you some examples: 1) The number of beach salesmen selling tat, approaching you when you are asleep on the beach with your ipod on. The poke they give you scares the life out of you and leaves you unable to relax. This happened day after day after day. They dont leave until you say no at least five times. They also use very underhand tactics, if you accept anything from them to "look" they say you have bought it and demand money. They also use ... Essaouira far more enjoyable than Agadir.
Review of Agadir (Morocco) by jema_00

Advantages: Cheap and Sunny
Disadvantages: Harasment and over charging so very comming.

My friend and I chose to go to Morocco as it was cheap and we were poor students in need of some sun! I have to admit that we did not really do our research about where we were going, if we had I think that I would have thought twice, although this story does have a happy ending! We started in Agadir, the hotel was okay, we had a clean and fair sized rooms overlooking the pool. I had been to Tunisia about 3 years before I had expected Morocco to ...
...which was disappointingly in more than one way. There was no real town centre that we could find and we were looking at eating at a "Spanish" style restaurants until some locals gave us the address of the place far out of the touristy area where the food was good and it was full of locals. Really cheap, although I'm sure that we paid more that the locals. This was a theme that was to repeat its self over and over again. For example the best taxies ... Read review

Agadir - July 2005 / Tagadirt Hotel
Review of Agadir (Morocco) by MogNog

Advantages: Friendly people, great weather, nice cheap food.
Disadvantages: none

...is little to buy in Agadir but the leather goods - handbags, jackets etc are well worth a look as there are some fantastic quality products and a very good price!! If you are looking for a home-from-home Agadir is not the place for you, there are no English bars and breakfast 'as we know it' is difficult to come across and usually consists of pastries, pancakes and omelets. If you are looking for a multi-cultural, quiet, relaxing holiday this will ... Read review

Tactics for Agadir!
Review of Agadir (Morocco) by Mens

Advantages: Beautiful weather, Fantastic Wine, Fun
Disadvantages: Overtly pushy shopkeepers

...unorganised. Once landed in Agadir airport, were ferried into the Arrivals lounge, where we queued to get stamped in. Our Panorama rep was there to greet us, a very helpful man named Hassan, who reminded me slightly of the policeman of "Allo Allo". We were given a porter to take our bags to the bus, where we were promptly told by himself to give him english money - the tone of things to come. Accomodation - Igoudar Apartments, 20 Aout Street ...
...booking sheet if required. Agadir - The town itself Although we had been warned about the local shopkeepers bing eager, we were not quite prepared for what awaited us.... The first morning we stepped out of the hotel, we were litrally dragged into shops much to our protest. The first couple of times we didn't mind, but after two hours we had only been 200yds down the road after been forced into shops. We were very aware of being polite and not ... Read review

MOROCCO FOR ME
Review of Agadir (Morocco) by maureenhastie

Advantages: friendly hot cheap
Disadvantages: none

...second time I went to Agadir we could not get to stay at the same hotel as it was being renovated and the only deal we could get at a good price was self catering at the issadour apartments. This was last May and it cost us £270 each.nother deal we found on teletext we had never fancied self catering but because we really wanted to go to Morocco we decided to give it a try ,we where not impressed by where we stayed we had to walk three long flights ...
...law who came with us this time. The apartment itself was very basic but was clean and tidy and we could get rolls and croissants just next door for next to nothing and ate in local places most of the time so it was a very cheap holiday but would not go there again as we where ripped off most of the time at the bar and café in the complex they would always give a dirham less in the change we spoke to other people who had same experience. But that ... Read review
