The 3 star Agapinor is superbly situated, offering panoramic views of Paphos Harbour and the Cypriot west coast. A short walk away is the local market, district museum and public gardens. Also within the area are such attractions as land of the Kings, the house of Theseus and Dionysos, Saint Paul\\\'s Pillar and the Baths of Aphrodite.
Advantages: Clean, air -conditioned rooms Disadvantages: Location and poor choice of evening meals
...My boyfriend and i stayed at the Agapinor for 11 nights in June 2006.
We booked through Go-Travel having only a small hoilday fund! We knew we wanted to go to Paphos but didn't mind were we stayed. For our budget we only had a choice of this hotel and a self catering hotel. We chose the Agapinor as the description said it was close to the shops and it was half board. the hotel and flights cost £450 each.
What i didn't realise was that there are two parts to Paphos, the old town (which is where the Agopinor is situated) and the tourist part by the harbour, the distance between the two is about 3km. This became a problem as all the bars, clubs and restaurants are near the harbour. In the daytime there is a bus service which runs about every 10 mins and costs about 40p, this stops early evening so the only way to get to the harbour...

Advantages: Friendly people, cheap food, great atmosphere, hot! Disadvantages: perhaps too touristy, and will become more so in time
...and forth to get money, which I think is a brilliant idea. As I said earlier, there are many smaller pools for children, and lifeguards at every turn, so I definitely think that this is a place for the whole family. (See http://www.aphroditewaterpark.com/ for more information.)
After our day acting like children we decided to head out and see what the nightlife in Paphos was all about. We ordered a taxi from our apartment, and headed down to Bar Street, which we had been told was the place to go. Our taxi driver was very friendly (if a bit manic with his driving!) and he pointed out to us where the restaurants and bars were after he dropped us off. We decided to eat at a Cypriot-Steak Restaurant called Agapinor’s, where I had garlic bread and then Sirloin Steak, and my boyfriend had breaded mushrooms and then the Agapinor Steak. Again...

Advantages: Clean hotel and friendly staff. Disadvantages: Situated too far from the main area of Paphos with no late buses.
...not roast . If the breakfast was repetitive that's up to the individual. There was a choice of cereals, friuts, meats, cheeses, toast and preserves as well as bacon, boiled/scrambled eggs & sausages for breakfast each day, not to mention the variety of hot and cold drinks. As for dinner - delicious. We ate in the restaurant 3 nights and were never disappointed.
The hotel is about half hour walk to the harbour area but it is all downhill and quite pleasant. The bus runs every 20mins until 1830 so getting to the tourist bit is easy. In the evening it just means paying £4 for a taxi, which are readily available. The hotel staff were friendly although the maid was intrusive and didn't knock.
All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Agapinor. We found it to be an above average 3* hotel and would be happy to stay there again....

Hello and welcome to my review on the Athena Beach Hotel, in Cyprus.
In this review I will try to explain as much as I can about the hotel, why we chose the hotel and the area and what is available once you get there.

I stayed at this hotel for one week in July 2005. It was brilliant. The hotel looked classy from the inside and out, and was only a short way from the shops and restaurants in Paphos.
