The food is secondary to the scene at this popular restaurant, where tables are set on the main street in nice weather. Stylish and appealing and occupying a stone-sided building at least 150 years old, it has a kitchen that turns out well-prepared European specialties, usually based on seafood from the surrounding waters. Examples are linguine with lobster, seafood crepes, rice Creole, fisherman's risotto, grilled or baked fish, and a wide assortment of meat dishes, such as pappardelle with rabbit. For dessert, try one of the regional pastries mixed with fresh fruit.
Advantages: Lots to see and do Disadvantages: not enough time

Goodbye
This got a laugh and two very large glasses of chilled white wine(dry and refreshing). The waiter also brought a large bowl of black olives, a bowl of green olives and a bowl of small salted biscuit's (a bit like pretzels) . This cost about £12.00 and was worth it. we sat for half an hour and relaxed. Capri's little Piazzetta is one of the best-known squares in Italy and is a must for people-watching.

Advantages: Beautiful Views, secluded location Disadvantages: No restaurant in the hotel

The Hotel Weber Ambassador were really helpful from start to finish. We booked direct through their website which saved money on the Expedia listed price, though I think it would depend whether you were going high season or not.
Originally we were a little apprehensive having read the mixed reviews on trip advisor, but being of the disposition that a holiday is what you make it we packed ourselves off and flew into Naples.
An Italian bus ride across town to the port and battle through the ticket touts for a boat ticket and we were on our way.
Despite arriving late and dark the hotel had given us clear instructions about how to ring them (toll-free) when we...

Advantages: Stylish, good views, great shopping Disadvantages: Very expensive, quite superficial
...Ciao-ers who have read my travel reviews will know that over the last couple of years I have been lucky enough to visit several places I had long waited to see – some by design, others by lucky hap. When my partner was chosen to participate in a project which would take him to Naples I was very excited because it had long been a desire of mine to visit the isle of Capri which sits in the Bay of Naples.
Now, when it comes to travel, I am a firm believer in looking the part – think Hyacinth Bucket but a bit more subtle…As far as I am concerned, there is much to be said for the “when in Rome tradition”. On my first visit to Ljubljana I took a full-length wool coat with fur trim, a fur hat (Cossack style, very Dr Zhivago!) and some very glamorous knee high black leather boots. My mission, you see, was to encounter a tall, dark stranger and...
