What can I say about Air 2000? Firstly I was quite surprised to read other members opinions of them, which came out as very poor.
Having flown with most UK charter airlines at some time or another - through numerous name changes! I have learned one simple thing. No one of them is any better than the others! They are all money driven. Their aircraft are fitted with the maximum possible number of seats, the food is of a low standard, the staff are very badly paid and overworked, and it reflects in their work, and the flight schedules are crammed in so tight, that if any of their flights get a half hour delay, it will knock on for the rest of that day - try an average 2/3 hour delay outbound and maybe an hour inbound and the delay could knock on for over a day.
However the other thing I have realised, is that you are not paying British Airways prices for these flights - they are dirt cheap and you are getting what you pay for.
However, back to Air 2000 (probably unfair to mention all that in their otherwise good opinion!) I have flown with them about 4 times (mainly to Cyprus) and have never had a problem with them. Every flight has been on time - some have been early in fact. I found the staff to be pleasant, well turned out and willing to help. The food, although not amazing was among the best I have had on an aircraft. The aircraft were clean (a rare sight these days on charter airlines) and the entertainment was good - one thing I liked in particular was the way that they displayed the aircraft altitude, speed, air temperature etc on the TV's when the movies weren't playing.
All this said, I am not saying that they are better than XXX. What I am saying is that in my experience they were very good. However I'm sure there are plenty of people who could tell me a few nightmare experiences with them - as I probably could, with an airline they find OK.
It really is pot luck!!
