After just returning from a fantastic weeks holiday in Crete, I would just like to voice my opinion on Air 2000 after reading quite a few bad reviews from other members. Our flight out started with a 3 and half our delay which was due to a technical fault on the plane, this was slightly worrying at first but I would rather wait till the problem is sorted rather than leave on a faulty plane, and in the end they transfered us to a different departure gate and we got on with the journey on a different plane. The staff at air 2000 were very apologetic, but after such a long delay I was very dissapointed some kind of refreshments were not organised as there were a lot of families with young children waiting for the plane. Anyway after this delay we boarded the plane and I had one of my most pleasant journeys ever. The food was very good and the staff very well trained and polite. The only problem I found was the space on board the plane and found there was not a lot of leg room or space and someone with long legs would soon become uncomfortable. The captain informed the passangers during the flight that he would be making himself available to deal with any complaints or questions on arrival in Crete. This I thought was a very nice gesture and would have made me satisfied if I had wanted to complain further. Our return flight left more or less bang on time and agian the food was very nice and the staff were brilliant, the only thing that spoiled the journey home was the poor standards of Heraklionairport and the weather in Manchester when we got back ( But some things never change)
