Advantages: groovy fish tank, theme nights, cheap food Disadvantages: can't think of any!
Fancy drinking at the only Ridley's pub in the area (as far as I know)? If so, you can't go wrong with the Alma...not only is it a great pub with plenty of atmosphere, but it also has some interesting stories of its own...
In the 1980s, the Alma had a reputation as being a brilliant live music venue, featuring, at one point, on "The Old Grey Whistle Test". In the 1990s, however, things apparently went downhill - more often than not the pub was out of cask and keg beers, and was frequented mainly by under-age drinkers.
This all changed in 1999 when Pubmaster sold the place to Ridley's and the pub underwent refurbishment, creating the warm and friendly place you'll find today.
The Alma is situated is Russell Court, a small road quite a way out of the way of the town centre. Indeed, the pub is so far out of the way that, unless you ...

Advantages: Almost Excellent airline to fly with. Disadvantages: £4 booking fee if not using a Visa Electron card.
Introduction
I have used this air plane a number of times in booking flights and travelling to Prague from London Luton airport and have been generally pleased with the service throughout the buying process. Advantages: clean, comfortable, good service Disadvantages: No direct flights out to Asia
I have flown repeatedly with Gulf Air out to various places in Asia from India to South East Asia and the far east. These have always required a stop-off in the gulf area of the Middle East, almost always Bahrain which is the airlines hub. The airline has connections from London, Paris and Frankfurt out to Bahrain and from there there are plenty of connections out to Asia and to various places around the Middle East and Islamic countries such as Sudan and Iran. Thus it isn't the best connected airline for those trying to connect from Western Europe as it will almost always require a change over unless Bahrain is the final destination.
The main reason I have flown with Gulf Air is that they have consistently been the cheapest option on offer for flights out to Asia-perhaps because of the required change over. I have flown with them for 3 ...
