I flew with my husband from Calif. to Beijing. We even decided to make the trip very special and flew First Class. What a mistake this was. The plane (both going and returning) was filthy! Th staff, especially the young women appeared unkempt and looked as though they had been up all night. The food was of poor quality especially for First Class. Here is an example; we were offered either "soup in a cup" you know the kind you add hot water to and it makes soup OR ice cream. At first my husband asked for the "cup of soup" after tasting it decided he didn't like it and asked for ice cream . He was told "you can no have ice cream -- you had soup -no two things!This was First Class ! The screens at our seats did not work, either one on the way over and one of them worked on the way back. When it was take off and landing some Chinese passengers would NOT give up their GLASS drinks and the staff let them keep them! Nothing was served - food or drink from midnight until early am. Also they cut --- way back on the a/c at night and when the women in front of me asked to make it cooler --- the staff told her that THEY were cold and that is why it is turned off and it stayed OFF! I could go on and on --- just don't, and I repeat don't fly them!
Thanks for the warning! I cant believe you got treated like this in 1st Class! Oh well, at least you know not to travel with them next time :-)
