The Capital of Ohio is "Columbus" named after the famous explorer Christopher Columbus. The city of Columbus has a population of close to 1.3 million persons making it one of the largest cities in Ohio, but only second to Cleveland with 1.45 million persons. Columbus is a multi-cultural, open city with a diverse history of Irish, German, Italian, French, Latino, and Spanish, just to name a few. ...I've visited Columbus several times over the last 10 years as my uncle is a long time resident of the city. Having travelled in some of the major cities of the US and Europe, I am pleased to say that I have found Columbus to be one of the cleanest I've been to. The feel of Columbus is more that of a large town with lots of outlying areas. If you've got a family, don't worry too much about what to see and do while in Columbus. In the downtown area is the COSI museum, which is dedicated to science. This is a great museum if you have children, because so many of the exhibits are hands on and let the children do physical stuff that prove the scientic theory. My daughter was amazed that she and her dad could lift a car using the pully mechanism set up in a courtyard area. If you're a sports fan, be sure to go see a Columbus Clippers... Read review

...Jazz On The Park, what a curious name for a Youth Hostel. Jazz is for the jovial and professional manager of the place, On The Park due to the situation, one block from the heart of the city : Central Park only one block! What a situation if you like roolerskating, jogging, biking or just going on promenade or just relaxing on the grass... This quiet new Youth Hostel is situated 106th Street and Central Park Road, the closest subway station is 103rd or Columbus Ave... I usually land on JFK airport, easy just catch the free shuttle bus going to the Subway Station, then catch "A" train (only 1,5 dollar = 1,2 £ or you can buy a metrocard 1, 3, 5 or 7 days) and change for Train "1" or "6". The place is really safe, clean, friendly atmosphere, with Internet acces, 2 TV on the main lounge, on the first floor a terrasse where you can get... Read review
