I had never heard of Air Europa until I found a cheap flight advertised on e-bookers that fitted in perfectly with my requirements of a 4 night stay in Majorca.
The flights were very cheap £140 return for 3 people. The flight out 19.35 The flight home 20.35 Though next day flights were over £200 (though still a bargain compared with BA (£455) and Easyjet (£300)
These were a lot better times than can generally get with package flights but did mean any delays would make a late arrival.
Informed of no delay when arrived at Gatwick, so got to the terminal when called but disappointed to find flight ended up taking off 50 minutes late. Explanations were sketchy but it appeared they blamed it on late arrival of plane (but looked to me like plane was there in plenty of time).
Being a spanish airline all announcments were first made in spanish then hard to understand english. Not really a problem but I can honestly say I never saw a single smile on any of the flight staff during the journey.
Flight arrived at Palma about 40 mins behind schedule and collected baggage quickly and off on my short break.
Flight home was dead on time. But again staff were very grumpy, in fact I ended up standing for about 15 - 20 minutes after taking my son to the toilet as they wouldnt shift the drinks trolley to let us back to our seats.
Also had concerns when we came through quite heavy turbulance (not that I was worried about my safety)But because the staff did not stop people getting out of their seats when the seat belt sign came on.
Note: As a scheduled airline no food is served, only cold food available. I didnt eat but had the most appalling cup of tea in memory in a tiny plastic cup for £1.10! At least the plane did not stikn of the hot airplane meals (because there werent any!).
Summary
Flights pretty much on time: Drinks Horrible - Take your own! Food - Pretty much non-existant. Staff - All have had a humour bypass.
If you are looking for a cheap means of travelling to Spain, then Air Europa definately provide that. But customer care is very low, though saying that as it was only a 2 hour flight I was looking more for reliablitiy than comfort!
It is worth checking regularly on expedia and e-bookers as prices seem to change almost daily.
By all means travel with these but dont expect any frills or smiles!

We flew with this airline to Gran Canaria, a couple of weeks ago. On the flight out, we could barely understand the announcements made, as she spoke so fast!!!

i think there always seems to be a problem with manners if you travel on non-British airlines, I think the language barrier does not help either.
