Like, so it seems, many others, my flight from Heathrow to New York was meant to be the start of a great vacation, that is, if I would ever get there! The plane was delayed, this was fine, then after nearly freezing to death with not enough blankets on board, the rude flight attendants who begrudgingly gave anything out, cramped seats and a bickering couple by me, I was nearly ready to change my return flight.And I should have. By the time I came back, I put my bad flight into the 'can only happen once' category in my mind. The flight was delayed by nearly 5 hours. We were on the plane on the runway for 3 1/2 of those hours since we were not allowed to disembark whilst there were mechanical difficulties - not the most reassuring of things to hear when there are obviously nervous passengers on the flight. The plane, was this time, too warm and the air conditioning wasnt working until the plane had been given the go ahead. Then upon take off, the cabin had once again become an igloo, with the air conditioning uncontrolably blasting from every crevice that had seemingly been blocked up when the plane had difficulties. This is not the choice for anyone who has a hernia over puncuality, detests temperature extremes and expects the paying customer to get what the request, a simple, comfortable flight. I HATE THIS AIRLINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
