Property consultant, closet hobbit, living with small tribe of teddy bears - all of us middle aged. Have one car, one apartment, many clocks, two computers, lots of pc games, even more books.

I have used Aer Lingus between Birmingham and Dublin for leisure travel since 1998. I have always found the administration to be efficient, the staff (both ground and aircrew) to be polite and helpful and the general level of service to be good.
The presentation of the aircraft on the Birmingham - Dublin route is generally good, given the intensive use: all equipment is functional, the cabins quite clean, the basic in flight service cheerful and the in flight magazine is always waiting.
Late last year I travelled on to Chicago from Birmingham, by way of Dublin. I found the transatlantic service to be excellent in every respect. The aircraft were immaculate, in flight service efficient and friendly throughout, good audio entertainment and films, good food and drink - the vegetarian options for dinner were very acceptable. Flight deck announcements were informative and in one instance left passengers prepared for turbulance that might otherwise cause anxiety.
Dublin airport is a very pleasant, modern airport on a very manageable scale which is no hardship to transit through.
