...when mash and air first opened in manchester, it was a breath of fresh air...one of the first bursts of london-style hip eating to have penetrated north of birmingham..and for locals it was a convenient and relaxing place to eat. The design of the restaurant is great - it's in a corner warehouse on canal street and has a very spacious modern feel...(ask for a banquette table if there's more than 2 of you) There are 3 levels to the complex - mash bar on the 1st floor, mash restaurant on the 2nd and air restaurant on the 3rd. The Mash restaurant is very affordable serving easy meals that appeal to everyone - including delicious wood-fire pizzas with inventive toppings. ...legend and we laughed all night - a must see if you visit Blackpool. Also performing were Bad Manners who had the place rockin. You have to enjoy Blackpool for the feelgood fun factor and be prepared to let your hair down, have a laugh, enjoy the seaside and really have some fun. Try not to listen to the people who knock this bastion of British entertainment and holiday fun - because that is what makes Blackpool unique - it dares you to have fun, forget about your mundane troubles & strife and just go out and have a blast of Blackpool air! Our time at North Pier got top marks for us all and we look forward to visiting again with friends and family next summer. And look out for the Starlings at Sunset - a once in a lifetime breathtaking experience.... Read review

Advantages: Not expensive, attentive staff (ground and flight), good food
Disadvantages: Few European destinations - connections are needed.

...VASP is of the oldest airliner inside Brazil. Lately, is trying to reach out to North America and Europe. Unfortunately, the best destinations are taken by another Brazilian Airline VARIG which over grew, half-merged with others, and is NOW giving a bad and expensive service. VASP, on the other hand is trying hard. Therefore, it offers lower prices, good service on ground and on air, excellent food and attentive board personnel. I would never fly VARIG again. I do not mind to make connection within Europe to catch a transatlantic VASP flight. VASP also works with SWISSAIR and SABENA. Good value.... Read review
