Air Transat has a web site, primarily aimed at the Canadian passenger a bi-lingual country. The opening page offers a choice of viewing language: English or French. On the main homepage, is the heading “Travelling from Europe” and five country links. France, Italy, Germany Holland and UK. The airline representative welcomed me with a smile, courtesy, and politeness asking the usual questions: Did I pack my baggage myself? Did I leave my baggage unattended at any time? Etc. and wished me a good flight. Looking good I thought and proceeded to venture into the chaos of the Gatwick departure lounge.

...the the Canadian charter company's Air Transat were offering the best deal and I booked with them.
Apart from saving money the other advantage of flying Air Transat was that I could fly to Vancouver without having to change planes (I'm a strong believer that if you don't change planes you have more chance of getting your luggage at the other end and less chance of being delayed). Although I was going to Victoria it was much cheaper to get a ferry ... ...11th. Being a charter Air Transat could not help me change the flight seat (and I understand this from the booking conditions) so I had no choice but to buy a new ticket from Air Transat.
Well unless you left earth for a day you will know that September 11th was the awful terrorist attack on America. There I was stood with my Air Canada boarding card for my connection to Vancouver (a treat from a friend) when all flights were cancelled.

Advantages: Very cheap - Half price of British Airways Disadvantages: Smaller seats; No fancy extras like with BA
Normally, my parents book flights well in advance, and up until now we have always flown British Airways. This Summer, however, we left it much later before booking a holiday, partly because many people say it is cheaper to book late, and partly because we had already booked a flight to Rome in October, making the Summer holiday slightly less important (normally we stay at home during October and have our main holiday in Summer). However it soon ... ...decent holiday at any price, when we went to numerous travel agents with no luck. Finally, we settled with what was probably the best option, which was a charter flight with AirTransat to Toronto, Canada (Departing from Glasgow, A bit over 2 hours away from where I live in Aberdeen).

Advantages: cheap, fast,direct, and (sometimes) comfertable flights Disadvantages: (ussually) uncomfortable. BAD services. POOr seats.
...was coming to Canada it was day-time all flight long and the weather was good so the plane rode through comfortably. This airline does care about safety, thats for sure; i saw that much. Air Transat is overall a preety good airline.
