Bad experience London - Cape Town

Advantages: slightly cheaper than BA (but only by £40 and this was an expensive ticket)
Disadvantages: poor customer service, small seats, ancient plane with poor entertainment and food, delays...

I flew with SAA for the first time and was exceedingly disappointed. While waiting at the departure gate until 2 and a half hours past our departure time we were told every half an hour that there was a technical problem that they were looking at. Our flight was then cancelled and we consequently lost a full day of our week long holiday with a room at heathrow as compensation. For both the journey out and the return flight we had an ancient plane with flickering screens dotted around the plane rather than individual screens. We also had very little leg room. An African airline giving British standards

Advantages: BA standards in southern Africa, LAst-On-First-Off baggage
Disadvantages: Don't seem to be as friendly as they were

Best way to get to South Africa

Advantages: Great staff

Ryan Air aaaaarrrrrgggggghhhhhh

Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: having your soul sucked away

Ryan air! what's the first thing you think of when presented with this name!? cheap and cheerful!! well that was my first thought on them before I travelled on a stag party to Magaluf in September. Review of Ryanair - RYR

Monarch Airlines have my custom again

Advantages: Friendly staff, reliable, value for money
Disadvantages: drinks too expensive and limited legroom
