Advantages: Too many to count. Disadvantages: The seat colour and seat pitch
Air Mauritius is a small airline but with big hopes.
The experience overall was excellent on both aircraft.
On the Nariobi-Mauritius leg despite the delay was slight and the aircraft was spotless. For a 3 hour flight everything was smooth sailing with a generous seat pitch, good breakfast and a fair movie. Overall I just slept until I was awoken by the smell of a good hearty breakfast. 1 week later I had to travel back home to the UK. The entire ... ...at the airport.
The flight was opporated on a modern airbus aircraft with brand new seats.
This flight was great however the cabin decor was not to my tastes with horid yellow seats but the cabin decoration was adequet.
Everything was excellent except the legroom but I had 3 seats on the back row to myself.
The inflight entertaiment was AVOD with a massive choice of audio and video to choose from. The meals were the best ever with an open bar ...

Review of Air Mauritius
...time I went on a South African Airways plane was Christmas 2007.
Starting from the beginning, the person that i rang to book the tickets was lovely a very nice South African accent, she was very helpful and helped me with the best tickets for the days I wanted.
The day of travelling can be very stressful if you are going away for a month and are double, triple checking that everything is turned off and locked.
The lady at the check in desk was ... ...people who are going to South Africa to use this airline to any other.
Prices vary alot and if you wish to travel in December you have to book in jan.
The current prices are around £500 for a return and the high season is between the 6th of December to mid jan which put prices up around £100-£200. ...
Advantages: BA standards in southern Africa, LAst-On-First-Off baggage Disadvantages: Don't seem to be as friendly as they were
I recently flew with Comair for the first time in several years. I had flown with them several times back in 1996 and 1997, and was quite impressed. In March I flew with them again.
Who Are Comair? Comair started life as Commercial Airways in 1946, with a solitary aircraft. They have developed steadily over the following 50 years, as one would have hoped, and in 1996 they joined forces with British Airways to become the first BA franchisee outside ... ...One great little extra that Comair offer is a "Last On, First Off" hand baggage service. If you have any bulky cabin baggage, or a bag that really is too big to take on board, you leave it at the bottom of the steps. It then gets left on the tarmac and the plane then takes off without it... no, not really. They load it into a dedicated hold then, when you arrive, they quickly unload the hold so as you walk down the steps, your bag is waiting. A great ...
Advantages: Good food, friendly crew, comfy business class Disadvantages: ground staff in Nairobi
...for sightseeing and some for regional flights. Hang on? This is meant to be an op about Regional Air. Why is this plonker waffling on about Air Kenya? Well, Air Kenya set up a separate division to operate jet aircraft, and this jet operation goes under the name "Regional Air". Recently Regional Air became a franchise of British Airways - so they don't operate as "Regional Air" at all, they operate as BA. They not only operate with BA flight numbers ... ...I had a ticket for Regional Air onwards but wasn't booked, so when I arrived I found the gate that the flight was departing from. There were a few people hanging around, but nobody at the desk. I wandered on further down the terminal to the regular transit desk but they didn't handle BA so after a bit I wandered back to the gate. About half an hour before departure, someone in BA uniform arrived and I approached her asking if I could get on the flight. ...
Advantages: Good "On Time" service, safe aircraft Disadvantages: Dicey entertainment systems
...East Africa and fly on Kenya Airways about twice a month. So, this review is based on that experience.
Ground Agents/Reservations:
I usually purchase my tickets using a travel agent in Kampala that has served my very well for a number of years. I try to avoid the Kenya Airways office in Kampala because the inefficiency and careless attitude of the staff spoil the overall picture of Kenya Airways. Kenya Airways has a very nice website where you ... ...and Cabin Crew:
The Kenya Airways cabin crew are the HUGE reason for the success of Kenya Airways. They never fail to make me feel that they are genuinely happy I am flying with them. They serve efficiently and carefully. I have watched them politely and nicely serve some real expatriate bozos who seem to think they are still living in the colonial era. Most flights I take with Kenya Airways are 80-90% filled. In a one hour flight they efficiently ...
