Didn't live up to the hype

Advantages: Good food, flight attendants have great uniforms
Disadvantages: Service is average on the plane and bad at the call centres; not a huge range of movies

I flew Singapore Airlines from London to Bali in August for my honeymoon. As far as the actual in flight experience goes, it was fine, but nothing special. The food was pretty good for airplane food. And I love the flight attendant uniforms :-) It was annoying that they didn't provide an eye mask though, I felt like I was bothering the staff by asking for one. Royal Skies Air Miles.

Advantages: Good in flight service
Disadvantages: In flight entertainment can be dodgy at times!!!

The more normal route however (whether booking yourself on-line or through an agent or tour company) will result in an e-ticket confirmation. Sri Lankan Airlines --- worst airline experience you can imagine!

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: totally disorganised and unhelpful.

...occassion tried at 5 different Sri Lankkan offices to change a fight 4 couldnt do it?? The 5th took 45 mins to take us of the original flight and rebook us on the exact same filght?? After we pointed this out we waited another 20 mins while we were changed to a flight that left at 1.45 am (we were told it was at 3pm, but that was flying the other way).
