A solid airline

Advantages: Clean, friendly, punctual
Disadvantages: On-demand entertainment & food not great

I flew with Qantas from Beijing to Sydney, then to Auckland, then back from Christchurch to Sydney. All the flights were clean, on time, and staffed by polite staff. Virgin blue's most unprofessional and arrogant staff

Ansett- A Great Airline that's gone- updated

Advantages: Great Friendly Service
Disadvantages: Not the great airline empire it used to be

Although Ansett flies still as Kendell etc. Ansett has become a microscopic airline compared to the airline it used to be. Ansett became bankrupt 2 days after Sept. 11th. Fly free with a kangaroo - go on hop to it!

Advantages: You get a free flight for no extra work or effort
Disadvantages: none really except it would be nice to get more.

Qantas Frequent Flyer program An unoriginal name but at least you know what you are joining. Monarch premium rip off

Advantages: A way to get rid of money for nothing in return
Disadvantages: cash for nothing

We paid for the premium upgrade to Kenya and it was a disgrace. The flight was late leaving Manchester and the crew who were leaving the flight in Paris virtually threw our breakfast at us. The plane was dirty, we had no extra leg room, there was no priority check in or boarding. the welcome on board drink was a plastic tub of orange juice.
