Disadvantages: no seat back tv's

I flew with Air Jamaica(JM) to Montego bay airport (sangster) last year and i wasn't very impressed with the aircraft itself or the way they took on so much luggage! To start off with, the check in staff seemed to allow all the passengers to check in over their allowance. Even though they did charge them it seemed the majority of passengers were taking at leat two even three bags more than most normally would and i'm certain the total the aircraft ...
...Check in and Boarding: Air Jamaica fly from Heathrow and check was actually relatively smooth with very little queues considering the above! The staff were friendly enough and after check in we made our way through security and into the waiting lounge - the flight was due to leave on time but we did depart about 15 minutes late - not a major problem and think this most mostly due to traffice anyway. VASP is of the oldest airliner inside Brazil. Lately, is trying to reach out to North America and Europe. Unfortunately, the best destinations are taken by another Brazilian Airline VARIG which over grew, half-merged with others, and is NOW giving a bad and expensive service. VASP, on the other hand is trying hard. Therefore, it offers lower prices, good service on ground and on air, excellent food and attentive board personnel. I would never fly ... Read review

...could. I found flights with Iberia from London Heathrow via Madrid which for 2 adults and 1 child was £350 cheaper than companies such as Thomson and thomascook. Done deal. So what was the experience like? Check-in We were unable to check in online prior to departure. I work in the travel industry and called Iberia to find out what the problem was. I was informed that it might be because we were not flying direct, however he would check and call ...
...My son was given an Iberia plane jelly lolly, some colouring pencils and a colouring competition. This was nice but all in Spanish and noone explained what to do! Iberia are one of the only scheduled airlines that dont include food / drinks on board their flights. A sandwich plus drink was €10. Had I known this in advance I would have taken my own. Disadvantages: Dangerous attitude to aircraft safety

I flew with TAP airlines yesterday (03/10/08) on Flight TP348 from Madeira to Gatwick. I have two issues really, the first being the most important:- During the course of the flight it became readily apparent that a young portugese male had decided to ignore all flight crew instructions and smoked in one of the onboard toilets. Despite a female member of cabin crew obviously discussing it with him as he returned to his seat, aboslutely NO ACTION ...
...when coming in to land, as I watched a very elderly lady walk to the bathroom despite the seat belt signs being on, and no-one either assisted her or asked her to return to her seat. I do not feel that TAP is a safe airline for these reasons. ... Read review

I'm surprise that I'm not the only one. In the past, I had relatively high regard for SIA, however that's mainly due to my wife more then personal experience. Personal experience has been that their staff tends to ignore any request that I made, I over looked those on bequest of my wife but this time they've really crossed the line. ...all they could tell me was "operational reasons". What this translates to is: petrol cost too much, too bad. We just had to cop it. The dumbest thing was that when they rebooked our flight, they've place us on a flight that we could never catch as we'll be on a flight from Tai pei to Singapore.
