I flew Heathrow to Izmir in Oct 07. Crew were ok, not as miserable as expected based on the reviews I had read. No in flight entertainment but meal on way out was very good. On arrival in Izmir one of my suitcases had been ripped on 2 sides. ...national airline. Although Eurocypria first started with airbus 320s they now have a fleet of six Boeing 737-800s the last being delivered in April of this year. This sounded good to me as I am a fan of the Boeing 737. They do run a minimal amount of scheduled routes, but mainly to obscure European airports, their main forte being in the charter sector. Advantages: Reasonably priced tickets, your own TV screen in the seat in front of you, great service, friendly stewards, comfortable seats ect.

...I fly every year to Cyprus from Heathrow to Larnaca, The flight was very quiet, comfortable, and the in-flight entertainment was brilliant. The food was excellent for an aeroplane meal and the stewardesses were very friendly and helpful. Disadvantages: no choice in entertainment

Booked a flight with Helios as it was about £20 cheaper than Cyprus Airways & they are recently a newcomer to this route. Flight left 30 minutes late. Seats were made of leather & medium size/leg room. Business class is exactly the same size as economy, only difference is you get more choice of food and newspapers. We were given a drink & snack after take off & a Greek or English newspaper. 1 communal screen showing cheaper by the dozen movie. on ...
...had nothing to watch. meal was nice, had choice of pasta of chicken. planes are relatively old. overall a reasonably good experience & would go again if price is cheaper than the others. apparently they are extremely strict with their baggage allowance, but mine was under so did not experience this, but heard from others who have been. ... ...My son was given an Iberia plane jelly lolly, some colouring pencils and a colouring competition. This was nice but all in Spanish and noone explained what to do! Iberia are one of the only scheduled airlines that dont include food / drinks on board their flights. A sandwich plus drink was €10. Had I known this in advance I would have taken my own.
