An airline we'd definitely use again!

Advantages: Great cabin crew
Disadvantages: Limited due to being a budget airline; food wasn't so great

...travelling to Canad recently was Air Transat. In all honesty, we had no dealing with them apart from getting on and off the plane, as everything was pre-booked and pre-paid with the travel operators beforehand. They are a budget airline in many ways, so I am aware of limitations and that certain standards may not be the same as other, more expensive airlines. The food wasn't great, and the TVs were shared. American Airlines

Advantages: Well Priced
Disadvantages: Rude Cabin Crew let others down

...reason we decided to use American was because for the 4 of us they were around £200 cheaper than BA. Going There- --Check in and Boarding-- We tried to check in online as we have done with other airlines but the website wouldnt let us and said we needed to check in at the airport instead. Once your boarding pass was checked so confirm you were going onto the right flight, they sent you to another queue where the lady sent you either to her left or right. Review of American Airlines - AAL

Full service? I Think not!

Advantages: Very few
Disadvantages: Not full service

We choose to fly Air Canada (Aug 2007) from Toronto to LA as it was the national airline. Even though ticket prices were considerably higher than anticipated we choose Air Canada secure in the knowledge that the flight was an international flight and the service, seating etc was as high a standard as any national airline. We were horrified to discover that their ageing aircraft A319 was configured for sardines and way below international standards. ...

Shame about the little extras

Advantages: attentive service, friendly cabin crew
Disadvantages: had to take own luggage to connecting flight

Good Gatwick-based American carrier

Advantages: Good, efficient service; Gatwick convenience
Disadvantages: Not as exciting as other trans-Atlantic alternatives

...there's every reason to praise Delta for their trans-Atlantic service. First of all, they use the more spacious North Terminal at Gatwick, and perhaps because they're not as popular or well-known as other operators in Britain, there's never, ever a queue at check-in if you're comfortably early.
