I flew with TAP airlines yesterday (03/10/08) on Flight TP348 from Madeira to Gatwick. I have two issues really, the first being the most important:- During the course of the flight it became readily apparent that a young portugese male had decided to ignore all flight crew instructions and smoked in one of the onboard toilets. Disadvantages: very basic

...also provide a couple of magazines. One of them is very interesting, providing information about flights that this company provides and information about places you can go if taking these flights. This magasine has a good interesting description of all sorts of different places you don't know about. It gives you ideas of where to go and what to do, and they are generally good advice. Disadvantages: Unprofessional Customer Service in Baggage claim at Midway airport

...rude she said it is ATA policy to deny all claims. I was in chicago for 5 days she never contacted me eventhough I called daily, plus put in at claim ata.com and with the DFW airport. I finally caught her by arriving early for my departure flight. She said there was nothing she could do about the items that where stolen. would I like a $200.00 voucher to fly with them again. ...My son was given an Iberia plane jelly lolly, some colouring pencils and a colouring competition. This was nice but all in Spanish and noone explained what to do! Iberia are one of the only scheduled airlines that dont include food / drinks on board their flights. A sandwich plus drink was €10. Had I known this in advance I would have taken my own. I'm surprise that I'm not the only one. In the past, I had relatively high regard for SIA, however that's mainly due to my wife more then personal experience. Personal experience has been that their staff tends to ignore any request that I made, I over looked those on bequest of my wife but this time they've really crossed the line. ...all they could tell me was "operational reasons". What this translates to is: petrol cost too much, too bad. We just had to cop it. The dumbest thing was that when they rebooked our flight, they've place us on a flight that we could never catch as we'll be on a flight from Tai pei to Singapore.
