Advantages: Friendly, good luggage allowance, friendly staff Disadvantages: More expensive than many
Air New Zealand are towards the upmarket end of the non-luxury airlines. Reliable and professional, they aren't by any means the cheapest, but the Economy class is comfortable, the service excellent and gets you where you need to go. Book well in advance for the cheapest fares - if you decide to go at the last minute like we did, it's pricy (around 1700 pounds if you book 2 weeks before you go). When I went to New Zealand in April 2009, I flew economy ... ...Heathrow to Auckland via Hong Kong, with the return journey starting in Queenstown and a stopover in Los Angeles. My first encounter with the staff was at the checkin desk in Heathrow. The staff there were polite and friendly. They had an additional member of staff in the queue verifying that we all knew about the new requirements for an ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorisation) to make sure that we would be allowed through the US on our ...
Advantages: Fast Check-in Online, punctual flights, Helpful staff Disadvantages: Food on plane could be better
...before your flight departs. You are able to choose your own seat. I just turn up to the airport 45 minutes before my plane takes off. No messing around in long queues anymore!!

Review of Lufthansa
Advantages: Cheap flight, no delays, clean plane Disadvantages: Flight attendents, food was awful, do not have scheduled flights
Flew with Britannia from Gatwick to Orlando a while ago and the memory of the trip still wrangles!
We had an early flight which wasn't a problem. Arrived well in advance of the take off time and had the usual delay with checkin. The checkin staff were gestapo like in their hunt for items not on the "acceptable" list. I presented my tickets, handed over my luggage and started the process of checking in. Now came the fun part. I had assumed (rightly ... ...flight, we would be on a larger plane. I have called the airline in advance to check what size plane we were going on. I had specifically asked prior to booking and also during the booking period if it would be at least a DC10 or similar and hopefully if would be would a jumbo. "Yes" came the reply. So you can imagine my shock when I saw a 767 sitting at the departure gate! "bugger" I thought... no room and a very uncomfortable flight!
Boy was I ...
Advantages: legroom space, price, service Disadvantages: choices of food and beverages offered
Malaysian Airlines is Malaysia's leading airlines and their well worth of their title. I have been using MAS for long and short distance flight and is well worth the money you spend. Their service is great - remember flying with them to India.... service is very nice, food, might need a bit improvement on the taste and choices on menu. Other than that you get ample leg space compared to other airlines. Once i have travelled on their Business class ... ...the cheapest full board airline. They really follow their tagline of MH for Malaysian Hospitality. Their service is up to the mark. Well their range of alcohol drinks available in economy class is limited. Well I guarantee that MAS is worth every single penny you pay for! ...
Advantages: Handy from regional airports Disadvantages: Luggage - what luggage?
...to write a review of KLM as the services and planes differ so much from the flight options they offer - from a regional airport shuttle to Amsterdam, to a couple of hours flight to a city in Europe to a transatlantic crossing all of which I have done numerous times in the last couple of years. I will try and share my opinions on all of these. Let m start of though with a little bit of background and history on the company. Firstly the acronym KLM ... ...is generally referred to as KLM "Royal Dutch Airlines". Founded in 1919 its the oldest airline in the world operating by its original name. KLM merged with Air France in 2004 but they do seem to be operating under there own distinct brand names. The main hub for the airline is Amsterdam Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands (Holland). KLM is part of the "SkyTeam" airline alliance. They currently have a fleet of more than 200 aircraft. It may surprise ...
