Advantages: Value for Money. Transparent Pricing. Disadvantages: Lunch and dinner must be obtained elsewhere
.... These are value-for-money,no frills, establishments where your rate covers the room and is not charged by person. Costs vary from as low as 29 pounds to 69 pounds depending on type, location, season and on special offers. Market research studies clearly indicate that both leisure and business travellers infinitely prefer per-room pricing to the traditional per-person rates. For a fixed price you get a comfortable room, accommodation for a number of people and other basic facilities.

Advantages: Proximity to airport, well appointed Disadvantages: Not the most luxurious, the smell of aviation fuel at times!
...We stayed at the Quality Inn last year and although maybe a touch basic, it was nevertheless very comfortable.
As first-timers in the States, we needed a hotel very close to LA Airport (LAX) since this was our last stop of our tour. It features an excellent swimming pool and cafe/restaurant, plus all the usual facilities in the rooms like air conditioning and cable TV.

Advantages: Swimming Pool Disadvantages: Too big!!!
...I recently stayed in this hotel for a couple of weeks due to a training course, and was pleasantly surprised. While not as immediately appealing, as some of the other, more grand, hotels surrounding Heathrow Airport, all of which were fully booked, the Park Inn seemed to have better facilites and better service than most of the other local hotels.
Having a pool in the fitness centre was a bonus, especially when staying for a while. Also being able to get a drink and some food when arriving late, without having to pay £20+ for room service was another benefit. Bit of a shame I couldn't get my breakfast to go though, as was not being able to get a taxi in the morning when I'd requested it the night before.
While my scores may not be the highest ever given, I'd usually give a lot lower to most airport hotels......

A flight from Gatwick - the only option for our recent holiday to Bermuda - meant we needed one night's accommodation near to the airport itself, to ensure we had no hold ups on the morning. As we would also need 12 nights parking I scoured the internet more
Some writers have commended the Holiday Inn for its excellent service at very reasonable prices. A look behind the scenes of the brand policy, products and pricing shows however a very different picture. Holiday Inn is in fact often more expensive than... more
