I have flown with Airtours for the past 3 years and go abroad about 2/3 times per year. I have had no problems with Airtours, the flights are quite smooth (taking into account of airturbulance), the staff are professional, and the on board prices ae pritty cheap in relation to other airlines. The good thing about it is that Airtours make a collection of all spare change (only if you want to donate) of the foreign currency to a certain charity. This depends on the time of month as it often varies.
The on board service are very professional, and the staff often look relaxed as if they were enjoying their work. The staff will go out of there way to help with any problems. I can speak from experience with this as when I was in Tenerife a couple of years back, I injured my back. I had difficulty walking. During the flight home I was in a lot of pain, and the staff kept cheking to see if I was ok all of the way home. They gave me pillows to support my back to make me more comfortable. The take off and the landing was so smooth, that my back did not cause me much in the way of problems. The only problem was infact the altitude of the flight.
The flight times slots for take off have always been on time or slightly early, and I have always got to the destination earlier than expected. My parents have only been delayed once and that was due to a small problem which took two hours to sort, but they were compensated for the delay. This has only happened to us once in the matter of three years.
The inflight meals are very nice compared to other flights, the meals are always hot, satisfying, and filling.
The inplane entertainment is of an adequate standard. There was a few times which a radio station did not properly work, but the tv is very good. They always put on a video on which is going to be on at the cinemas in the near future, so they are always looking for new things. There was one plane journey I had with Brittania Airways which was the total opposite (look at the Britannia Airways artical). Overal the flight is excellent.
