In 1998 we went to Cyprus with Airtour, they failed to inform us that the hotel was in the middle of major roadworks that had been going on for 18 months - this made the area very dusty, noisy and virtualy impassable with a pram. We usually go for walks from the hotel, but instead we had to hire a car to go anywhere.
In 1999 we booked to go to Florida, unfortunatly there was a hurricane, we where told to call the Airtours before we left home. We did this at 10pm night before and they said to come as normal, we tried to check again at 5.30am without an answer. At 6.30 when we arrived at the airport, we where informed that the holiday was cancelled and to see our travel agent. They offered no help at all.
In both cases I have received very little responce from them, thier suport is virtually nill.

Advantages: Staff try their best in a bad situation, its just a shame about the company they work for, and the flights are cheap (you get what you pay for) Disadvantages: Too many to list!
