I recently went to Lanzarote with Airtours and I can say that I will never book any holiday through them again! The main thing that annoyed me was their attitudes. I didn't really have a choice about who we booked through as this was an educational trip to see the tourism developemnt in Lanzarote. The main reason our teacher chose Airtour is because it was the cheapest, as we are only poor students that was what we needed!
When on the way to Lanzarote the air stewards were very rude, firstly a few friends had booked Veg meals but were told their names were not on the lists so they would not get veg meals. As we were all 17 - 19 she couldn't be bothered with us, only listening when one of our teachers got involved. My friends didn't get a meal instead they were offered bread rolls and mouldy cheese! I don't think Cheddar is meant to be like that anyway!
When in Lanzarote my holiday was fine... some small problems with your apartments such as no hot water in some apartments throughout our whole stay. Our rep dismissed this and said that "if you put the switch on it works" Which may have produced about 5 minutes worth of hot water... if we were lucky.
The holiday was great mainly because we didn't really have anything to do with Airtours as our teachers organised all excursions and the only contact we had with our rep Dave was our meeting on the first morning there. We didn't really need his help apart from on the last day, when we rang his mobile was on answerphone... we never did get an answer and had to guess the answer to our question.
I don't know why that went on there twice...it's a glitch. I'm not insane, or anything...

I think the stewardesses have been touched up and leered at by so many lager louts that they've forgotten how to be nice. On package tours, they might aswell re-label 'Economy' as 'Scum', because that's how you're treated...Welcome to Ciao, by the way! Plissken.

Advantages: Staff try their best in a bad situation, its just a shame about the company they work for, and the flights are cheap (you get what you pay for) Disadvantages: Too many to list!
