I have recently used the MyTravel web site of Airtours to book flights to the Costa del Sol and found it very easy to use. Firstly you have to register with the site but after this it is very easy to log in. This is a very convenient way to get flight and check holiday availablity and the lastest prices and book holidays on-line. You can also access holiday auctions and check out late availablity holidays on this site. You also get a discount by using this on-line service. If you have problems you can always contact Airtours direct by phoneing 0870 238 7777. I would recommend others try this service.
I have logged on to the site a number of time and it would appear that it is keeped up to date. I have also found a number of competitions on this site to win free holidays.
I booked the flight 2 weeks before I flew to the Costa Del Sol and had to pick up the tickets at the airport. I did however recieve the Final Invoice on the Thursday before I flew.
The only problem was that you are charged extra (£10) for an in-flight meal. The actual flight to Malaga was delayed by about half an hour each way. The flight times were very convinient, namely we took off at 15:55 from Manchester, flying time 2:40 mins. We flow back from Malaga at 12:40.
Be prepared for long queues at the security point at Malaga Airport and arrive early for your flight home. However once past security control the aiport is fairly good and the shops are cheaper for alchol than the local supermarkets.
My other experiences with Airtours have been both good and bad.
Namely we traveled to Lanzarote a number of years ago to probable the worst apartments possible. Following this experience we said we would never travel with airtours again.
However, the pound in my pocket is important to me so the decided to Travel to Florida last year with airtours. Although the flight took longer than advertised it was a pleasant enough experience and the two apartment we stayed we both reasonable and situated where we wished to stay.
The real plus was the flight home were we up-graded to avoid the long queue at Sanford Airport.
Not a bad update - have you tried out the Auctions on the site. As a general rule of thumb on normal brochure prices I find Airtours charge nearly double that of Thomsons - at Easter a holiday I was trying to book to the same hotel was nearly 3 times the price with Airtours for the same dates as it was with Thomsons.

I'm sorry, but I can't see much more that you've added to change my rating. A couple of suggestions though: I think the confusion (or maybe it's just mine) is that this is in the general Airtours category and not a category specifically for the website. You might be best put this op in the online shopping/travel section of the site (if you do a search for Airtours - if the website doesn't come up you can suggest it and Ciao will most likely put it on for you). Then write an op soley on the site - the features, navigation, how easy it is to purchase etc. Alternatively, you can add more to this op. As a consumer I want to know all about Airtours - their reliability, customer service and about any contact, information and details you had from them. You'd be best to read opinions on the site of a similar idea to get a better idea of what I mean. Lastly, a belated 'welcome' to the site and I hope you're not too put of by the stick you've had.
